Chief Uno Inspects Eyubiasang Beach Market, Other Ongoing Projects
The Executive Chairman of Urue Offong/Oruko Local Government Council, Hon. Uno Etim Uno, on Thursday, March 12, embarked on an inspection tour of the Eyubiasang Waterfront, including the Beach Market.
The Chairman, who also used the opportunity to inspect the ongoing Eyubiasang electrification project undertaken by Senator Ekong Sampson, assured the community of its timely completion, charging the people to place premium on government projects sited in their communities while taking measures to tame vandalism.
This admonition was reiterated by the representative of Senator Ekong Sampson, Sir Michael Essang, who stated that the Senator prioritizes the electrification project.
The Village Head of Eyubiasang, His Highness, Chief Effiong Uye and the Community Liaison Officer (CLO), Effiong Bassey, expressed profound gratitude to Chief Uno for recommending the project to the Senator, vowing to repay his kindness with unalloyed loyalty and support for the Senator if he decides to seek re-election.
The Executive Chairman proceeded to inspect the Eyubiasang Jetty and beach market project initiated by his predecessor, expressing satisfaction with the quality of work done.
He maintained that the construction of Uboro – Oruko – Eyubiasang Beach Road, is the needed catalyst to restore the area to its status as an economic hub, assuring that it is one of the three projects Urue Offong/Oruko stakeholders will submit to the Governor as priority projects.
Chief Uno Etim Uno pledged to complete the Eyubiasang water supply project by installing a solar-powered pump, an innovative solution that will provide a sustainable and reliable flow of potable water for the community.
From Eyubiasang, Chief Uno again inspected the Manse Culvert project site, urging expedited completion before the outset of the rainy season.
